Welcome to Tangled Tails Pet Spa


Due to the ongoing risks associated with COVID-19, for the safety of our clients and staff, we will be implementing significant changes to our pet intake/outtake procedures. We will also be restricting the type of pets that we groom in order to maintain safe physical distance between our staff members.

These measures have been put into place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and are done with the health and wellness of our clients and staff in mind. These measures are the only way that we can operate, as per Alberta Health Services guidelines, so we ask that you respect them.


For the period of time that Alberta Health Services recommends physical distancing, we will no longer be grooming pets that require more than one person to manage. In most cases this will include most large dogs as well as most cats.


We are currently accepting debit, cash, cheque and etransfer payments. If you choose to e-transfer, please send to: kc@tangledtailspetspa.ca As always we do NOT accept credit card payments.


1. The door will be locked between client interactions and only one person will be permitted in the reception area at a time. Please leave your children/spouses at home. If we don't see you drive up or hear you knock, text 780-307-1595 to let us know that you have arrived.

2. We will unlock the door and move to a safe physical distance. Please enter the building and lock the door behind you.

3. Place your pet in the “DROP OFF” pen and remove their leash and collar. Please take your leash/collar home with you.

4. You will be given your grooming total so that you can send an e-transfer prior to pick up.

5. EXPECT LONGER PICK UP TIMES! If your pick up time is usually 90 minutes, count on a two hour window. It is taking people significant amounts of time to remove/put on leashes and collars and I cannot groom during that time. If your pet is completed earlier, we can call/text you for pick up. In addition, the extended pick up time is to permit time between each client to disinfect all surfaces/wash hands, etc., as well as ensure there are not multiple people in the reception area.


1. Please wait for me to unlock the door and move to a safe distance before entering.

2. The preferred method of payment during this time will be e-transfer, but if you must use debit, it will be available on a separate table that can be easily disinfected.

3. You will be provided with a card and pen to take note of your next grooming appointment.

4. Collect your pet from the “PICK UP PEN”.


All surfaces will be disinfected after all interactions with VIRKON which is a hospital/veterinarian grade viricide that is known to destroy viruses. Hand washing/sanitizing will be performed regularly.

If you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness, no matter how mild – STAY HOME! We will reschedule your pet's grooming appointment. If you bring your pet for their appointment and you are obviously ill, you and your pet will be sent home, no exceptions. Respect our staff enough to not expose them to illness at this time. Failure to comply with this request will not be tolerated and will be grounds for refusal to groom your pet in the future.
